Immediate provisionalization of single implant restoration - customization and characterization

Description

Advances in dental implant design characteristics as well as surgical procedures have allowed the modern day implant practitioner to offer patients in a vast number of clinical situations an immediate (same day)restoration (i.e a restoration placed at the same time as implant placement). This prosthesis can either be manufactured pre-surgery by digital means or fabricated chairside by conventional analogue techniques using chairside/clinical restorative materials. The latter technique is one that can be implemented in most if not all dental practices as it requires minimal outlay of materials and not dependant on laboratory resources which may not always be available to all practitioners.
