Description
Goal and mission: To highlight evidence and best practices that touch on equitable access and inclusivity to the continuum of palliative care throughout the life course. This care starts from diagnosis, across curative and active treatment and management, to rehabilitative, and, sometimes transcends through the end of life care, bereavement, and family support.
Objectives
- Raise Awareness and Understanding: Increase awareness and understanding of the importance of an inclusive approach in palliative care, emphasizing the impact of cultural, socioeconomic, and individual differences on end-of-life experiences.
- Facilitate Knowledge Exchange: Provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge, research findings, and best practices among diverse stakeholders, fostering collaboration and innovation in the delivery of inclusive palliative care.
- Inspire Action and Advocacy: Inspire participants to take concrete actions in their respective roles to advocate for and implement inclusive palliative care practices, ensuring that individuals from all backgrounds receive compassionate and culturally sensitive end-of-life care.
