This virtual CME session will focus on the use and interpretation of the partograph. Participants will gain essential knowledge and practical skills to effectively monitor mothers in labor, accurately interpret partograph findings, and make timely, informed decisions to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes

Objectives

By the end of the session, the learners will be able to: Explain the purpose and key components of the partograph. Accurately fill in the partograph during labor monitoring. Interpret partograph findings to assess labor progress. Identify and respond to abnormal labor patterns in a timely manner. Make informed clinical decisions based on partograph interpretation to improve maternal and newborn outcomes.

  1. Dr. Nurein Noorein
    Dr. Nurein Noorein is a Consultant Obstetrician-Gynecologist at Kilifi County Referral Hospital, where he leads the Obstetrics and Gynecology department. He provides expert care in managing both routine and high-risk maternal cases and plays a critical role in mentoring clinical teams, including medical officers, interns, and nurses. Dr. Noorein collaborates with partners to implement maternal and newborn health programs aimed at improving outcomes across Kilifi County. Additionally, he participates in quality improvement processes, training activities, and the development of clinical protocols to strengthen reproductive health services
