Teaching and learning values to resource the provider, to enable professional practice, and to build capacity to provide care within their context ensuring quality of care and preventing burnout.

Objectives

1)To recognize and acknowledge patients’ understanding on their illnesses, treatment and the care they receive. 2)To understand what professionalism is/ To see how our values and ethos affects how we behave professionally in practice. 3)To gain an understanding on the benefits and dangers of Evidence Based Medicine or Practice/ Why we use Evidence Based Medicine/Practice. 4) A reminder of the causes of stress in their lives/ An appreciation of the symptoms & signs of “burnout”/ Strategies to address some of these. 5) To be able to comprehend the depth of health inequalities in health in the world/ To be motivated to do what you can to address health inequalities.
