The EPALS Provider Course is designed to equip healthcare professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively manage critically ill infants and children. The course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by enhancing the quality of care provided during emergencies. Activity Objectives

Objectives

Pre-Course Preparation: Participants complete pre-course assessments and review the EPALS Provider Manual to ensure familiarity with the core concepts and algorithms. Interactive Lectures: Instructors present key concepts in pediatric resuscitation, utilizing multimedia presentations and teaching simulation scenarios. Hands-On Skills Stations: Participants practice essential skills such as airway management, CPR, defibrillation, and intravenous/intraosseous access in simulated settings. Team Dynamics and Megacode Simulations: Through realistic simulations, participants engage in team-based scenarios to apply their knowledge and skills in a coordinated manner. These sessions emphasize communication, leadership, and teamwork. Written Exam and Skills Testing: Participants must demonstrate their proficiency through a written exam and practical skills testing.
