Description

The Competition Authority of Kenya (CAK) aims at sensitizing members of the Kenya Dental Association on the Abuse of Buyer Power provisions of the Act. The Authority’s presentation will cover the following areas: a. The nature and role of abuse of buyer power enforcement; b. Conduct that constitutes an abuse of buyer power and that which does not; c. The powers of the Authority in the enforcement, how the Authority goes about establishing liability and the remedies available under the law; d. The value of commercial contracts in supply agreements and use of the template contract prepared by the Authority; and e. The role of stakeholders in the enforcement process including how to lodge a complaint with the required evidence.
