RESEARCH ANAESTHESIA WORKSHOP: Measuring, Understanding and Researching Respiratory Mechanics in Humans

Starting on:

Ending on:
Nov 19, 2025
Venue:
Pride Inn Convention Centre

Description

Aimed at Measuring, Understanding and Researching Respiratory Mechanics in Humans is designed to enhance participants’ understanding of the physiological and clinical principles of respiratory mechanics while developing practical competence in measurement, interpretation, and research application. Through interactive teaching and hands-on sessions, participants will learn to perform and analyse ventilatory parameters, apply findings to patient care, and design small-scale research protocols integrating respiratory mechanics assessments.

Objectives

Objective 1: Explain the physiological and clinical principles of respiratory mechanics. Objective 2: Perform measurements of dynamic and static ventilator parameters. Objective 3: Interpret measured data to inform patient care and generate research hypotheses. Objective 4: Design a small-scale research protocol incorporating respiratory mechanics measurements.
