For example, it creates need for more expensive and intensive care, affects productivity of patients or their caregivers through prolonged hospital stays, and harms agricultural productivity. The antimicrobial policy set the strategies and activities undertaken to organize the antimicrobial treatment in the hospital, and achieve health outcomes for patients.
