Acute Kidney Injury (AKI): Early Recognition, Evidence-Based Management, and Nutritional Support

Objectives

1.Perform a systematic evaluation of patients with suspected AKI, including appropriate history, physical examination, laboratory investigations, and imaging. 2.Apply evidence-based management strategies for AKI, including fluid management, medication review, electrolyte correction, and timely referral to nephrology services. 3.Recognize indications for renal replacement therapy and understand when urgent intervention is required. 4.Discuss strategies to prevent AKI in hospitalized and high-risk patients through early identification and risk reduction.
